The x-tention managing directors Herbert Stöger and Wolfgang Pramendorfer today officially heralded the start of construction of the x-tention Campus together with representatives of the city of Wels. The x-tention Campus, which is centrally located near the train station, will provide space for 350 employees from the Wels region in the future. With the construction of the new company headquarters under the direction of the architect Dipl. Ing. Manfred Lindorfer, x-tention is building a company location that not only meets current building and workplace standards, but also creates optimal working conditions for the future thanks to state-of-the-art technologies.
In line with the group's modern product and service portfolio, the new office building will be operated in a climate-friendly and sustainable manner using innovative technology and will have a balanced energy balance. In concrete terms, this means that the building will use photovoltaic modules to generate as much energy during the day as it consumes over the course of the year. In addition to insulating materials for walls and windows, an important contribution to the good energy balance is made by efficient operating equipment such as innovative lighting and a state-of-the-art geothermal system with deep probes for heating and cooling. The use of rainwater via cisterns and the environmentally conscious selection of building materials additionally underline the sustainability of the construction project.
